I'm thinking about getting a tattoo, and I wanna get some oppinions. I'm still not sure if I wanna get one, or what I wanna get even. if anyone has one, how bad did it hurt when you get one, and what was your initial thought when you got your first one? and would you ever wanna get another. let me know, because again, I'm thinking about gedtting one, so I just wanna know what peoples' thoughts are. thanks.

Leslie,
I currently have one tattoo. I want two more. It took me a few years to decide on the final design for the one I have now. I wanted to make sure it was exactly what I wanted before I did something that permanent to my body.
I also checked into where to get it at. I decided on a shop called fine line. I was very happy with their work and will return to them in the future. But, check around for all your options.
The one tatoo I have now is a patriotic design. It is kind of hard to explain exactly what it looks like, but the basics are that it has an american flag with a yellow rose.
It is on my right shoulder blade. It is about 3 to 4 inches long and a couple inches wide.
Honestly it didn't hurt that bad. I cringed a bit when they got closer to the bone.
Tattoos on fattier parts are less painful. The closer to the bone, the skin is, the more it will hurt.
I hope this helps some.
no way I would never do it. may be a temperary one but know way is anyone getting me with neddles!!
I'd like one too, but I'm not sure where I'd like it placed on my right arm. Where do you guys think it would hurt the least?
I too have a tatoo on my right shoulder blade. And, like has been said, the more flesh between the skin and bone the less it is going to hurt. Yes, I'll get another one some day, but I don't know when or where yet. If you decide to go through with it make sure the place is clean...very clean. Oh, and it hurt a bit, but not much. *smile*
Do they use local anaesthesia?
no they don't as far as i know. they didn't with mine and i've never heard of anyone using it. they would have to be certified or a degree or whatever you have to have to be able to inject the local. licensed, there's the damn word i was looking for heheheh.
upper arms would be the least painful spot in my opinion. you've got muscle and fat more there than anywhere else i would think. or your thigh if you wanted one there.
my other tats that i will be getting will be a monky on the small of my back and a yellow rose on my left ankle.
Nope, least in no place in the US that I'm aware of.
